Caring for Your Senior Who Has Diabetes

Caring for Your Senior Who Has Diabetes

Controlling your diabetes may become more difficult as you age, especially when you start retiring and want to remain in your home for the long haul. In the end, nothing can surpass the pleasure and safety of a familiar place. However, if your health remains unchecked even at the comfort of your home, it can lead to complications.

Since we are a Healthcare Service provider in Hawaii, we want your seniors to get the health care that they need when they retire at home. We want them to learn how to take care of their health and wellness. If they have a home health plan, then they can combat diabetes right at home. Our caregivers at Helping Hands Hale can arrange a home health plan that is beneficial for your loved one and make sure they follow their health routines.

The home health plan covers, but is not restricted to:

  • Monitoring of blood sugar levels
  • Reminders on prescribed medication
  • Going to the doctor’s appointment
  • Following a healthy and balanced diet
  • Doing exercises that help lower down blood sugar levels

We are also a Home Care Service Provider in Hawaii. If you need someone to look after your senior who has diabetes, then you may want to take advantage of our home care services to help them adjust to this health condition. The older adults may have limitations on what they can do at home for them not to exhaust their mind and body. Favorably, our caregivers can perform various tasks at home, like housekeeping, to keep a comfortable and clean environment for your loved one. They can also be your senior’s companion whenever they need someone to talk to or go out and attend social activities.

We go full scale on securing our brothers and sisters of our community with the benefits of health and home care from our experienced professionals. We have qualified staff members who are strictly selected based on the readiness to provide personal care in conjunction with medical experience and expertise. To give back to our society, you have our assurance that our services are very affordable. If you have any questions, you can contact us.

The state of Hawaii has determined that most caregivers are considered employees and in order to LEGALLY hire and pay your OWN caregiver, you must have a company established with State and Federal tax ID numbers. In addition to their hourly pay you must also pay for Workers Compensation Insurance, Temporary Disability Insurance, General Liability Insurance, and if the caregiver works more than 20 hours per week you must also provide medical insurance for each caregiver. Therefore; choosing an established agency such as Helping Hands Hale is an affordable and easy solution that will save you time, money, and relief from being in violation of State and Federal Labor Laws.
