Home Care Support for Seniors Recovering from a Stroke

home-care-support-for-seniors-recovering-from-a-stroke

After a stroke, your senior loved one may face minor to significant mobility and cognitive issues. This includes partial paralysis to one side of the body, weakness in the arm or leg, and memory loss. As a result, they may require assistance with their everyday needs like showering, dressing, and eating.

If you’re planning on becoming the primary caregiver, you should remember that recovering from a stroke is a lifelong process. In fact, the road to recovery can be daunting. One family caregiver may not be enough to provide all the home care services your senior may need.

Hiring a healthcare service provider in Hawaii can be an enormous help for you and your loved one. At Helping Hands Hale, we have caregivers who are well-trained in assisting seniors with mobility exercises, personal care, and preparing meals.

The help a home care service provider in Hawaii offers extends beyond supporting everyday activities. They can also provide companionship for your senior loved one. This way they stay socially engaged while recovering at home.

If you need help in caring for a stroke survivor, our team is here to help you out. Set an appointment with us today so we can assess your loved one’s care needs.

The state of Hawaii has determined that most caregivers are considered employees and in order to LEGALLY hire and pay your OWN caregiver, you must have a company established with State and Federal tax ID numbers. In addition to their hourly pay you must also pay for Workers Compensation Insurance, Temporary Disability Insurance, General Liability Insurance, and if the caregiver works more than 20 hours per week you must also provide medical insurance for each caregiver. Therefore; choosing an established agency such as Helping Hands Hale is an affordable and easy solution that will save you time, money, and relief from being in violation of State and Federal Labor Laws.
