The Importance of One-on-one Care

If you are planning to find a professional care for your senior loved one, it is important to consider one-on-one care as a potential option.

Typically, there are two options available for you when it comes down to finding professional caregiving support. One option is a nursing home, which does come with many amenities and advantages, but they are unable to provide one-on-one care.

The second option is in-home care, which is provided by a home care service provider in Hawaii like Helping Hands Healthcare. We can provide personalized support all at the convenience of your elderly loved one’s home.

Here are a few reasons why this kind of service is so important for the care, the health, and the life of your loved one.

  • At Home: The main advantage of this service is the fact that your loved one does not have to leave the comfort of their home. We will provide them with the support and the services they deserve at the convenience and safety of their own residence.

  • Personalized Care: As an in-home care service provider in Hilo, Hawaii, we are dedicated to providing the personalized and customized care you deserve. This means that we will tailor make our services to ensure that they are meeting all of your needs on an around the clock basis, at home. This is something that many nursing homes are simply unable to provide. Through our services, your loved one will have access to a compassionate and talented caregiver that will ensure they are living a better and more convenient life.

  • Less Stress: Through our services your elderly loved one will experience less stress and they will have more time to do the things they want while we are handling things at home, including their care. Your loved one can focus on the more important aspects of life and do what they love because they no longer have to spend all of their time and energy just to get through the day’s activities of daily living.

If you want to make sure that your senior loved one is receiving the care and the support they deserve, then in-home care is the way to go. The state of Hawaii has determined that most caregivers are considered employees and in order to LEGALLY hire and pay your OWN caregiver, you must have a company established with State and Federal tax ID numbers. In addition to their hourly pay you must also pay for Workers Compensation Insurance, Temporary Disability Insurance, General Liability Insurance, and if the caregiver works more than 20 hours per week you must also provide medical insurance for each caregiver. Therefore; choosing an established agency such as Helping Hands Healthcare is an affordable and easy solution that will save you time, money, and relief from being in violation of State and Federal Labor Laws.
